Based on the success of the 2016 national multidisciplinary workshop ‘Reducing harm from healthcare associated infections’, the Health Quality & Safety Commission’s infection prevention and control programme, with support from ACC, is hosting a follow-up workshop in Wellington.
This workshop is designed for health leaders, infection prevention and control nurse specialists, clinical microbiologists, infectious diseases physicians, scientists, pharmacists and anyone with an interest in infection prevention or quality improvement.
The focus will be on:
• patient perspectives on infections
• peripheral intravenous line management
• leadership and clinical governance
• antimicrobial resistance.
